Key Points from Camp / Easter Weekend Sessions

When we were at Clarens, Pastor John talked about authority and that we are co-heirs with Christ. He taught on how, because we are co-heirs with Christ, we are seated in heavenly places with Him, and we have the same authority that Jesus had on the earth. We are co-heirs with Christ because we manage.

He also talked about ownership, that we aren’t the ones owning it, and that God’s kingdom is not a capitalistic kingdom. We are managing what God has been given to us and for us.

He went on by saying when you demonstrate the life of God, you become a threat to the darkness—all the nothings of the world (natural things are all the nothings). And Satan offered all the nothings to Jesus for the everything, and he’s trying to do the same with us.

If we just understand the power that we have in the Word, in our mouths, with Jesus, and we recognize that we have the power to overcome all the nothings, then we can overcome culture, because nothings are stimulated through cultural values. This is so good, because everything is the Word, and Jesus used the everything to defeat the nothing, and we have the everything at our disposal to defeat all the nothings in our world.

Then later into the week, Ps John talked about the kingdom of God. But on Monday, he really said a phenomenal thing about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs that just ministered to me. He read Matthew 6, where he talks about how God loves you more than all the things that He cares for in the world, and if God values you more, why do you value yourself so little? Your worry can do nothing about it. The glory of God on the lily is more important to God than all of Solomon’s self and glory.

That just ministered to me greatly, because when we do it on our own strength, we are just bringing glory to ourselves, and that is the nothing. But when we give glory to God and let His value be shown through us, then we give glory to Him. Because us using our faith for all of our worries is little faith. It’s not no faith, but it’s little faith.

So, when we actually go for the big things in God—not just our daily needs, not just living to survive—because God isn’t a God to provide for you just to stay alive. He’s a God to provide for you to thrive, to be alive. That is what His prophetic word is for us.

So why would we want to stop there and just use our little faith to get by in our daily lives and live in culture the way culture wants us to live? Because we have put faith in a box, and God is bigger than that box that we put Him in. He can do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ever ask or think, so why would you want to limit God in what He can do and wants to do for you?

God wants you to focus on self-actualization, because He has already dealt with all the other nothing stuff—with all the natural stuff, with all the nothings—so let’s live in His everything.

How are you going to be a doer of these Words

A practical way of living what I have said above, of living in God’s everything and not in the nothings of the world, is by living by His Word.

And how do you live by the Word? You live by speaking His Word. You live by praying that Word out over your life and confessing that over your life, because that is how you transact nothings for everything, because His Word is everything.

So, instead of speaking the nothings of culture over my finances and over my relationships, you would speak His Word of, I am abundantly and sufficiently supplied according to His riches and glory, and that my relationships flourish because of Jesus in me, because of His love in me, because my love is patient and incredibly kind.

By taking the Word to the matters and sowing the Word over my life to live in His everything, because His Word is everything. Specifically living by the prophetic Word because the prophetic Word is the Word for now. It is my time to shine. It is my time to be alive. It is my time to thrive.

Sowing that over my life is sowing His everything Word into my life, which will bear fruit and which will create His everything in my life and become the standard and way of my life.

Camp/Cruise Highlights

There were two main highlights from the trip. Obviously, the trip itself was spectacular. Riding with blood-bought family and having a camp meeting with the people you were called together with is absolutely amazing. What better way to go on an adventure than with your blood-bought family?

But one of the main things that really ministered to me was of the opportunity to ride with Pastor John. Even though we didn’t actually have a conversation, but just the opportunity to be on assignment with him, going on an adventure, just really ministered to me. Him being our apostle and him being our shepherd, and having that opportunity to spend four days in the same environment as him, and then being able to listen to the Word of God coming through him. Just being able to observe how he lives life was truely a privilege.

I had a similar experience with Matt (one of my team leaders).  Again I didn’t have any specific conversations or any grand impartation of words, but just riding with him and the whole journey of conditioning with him, him guiding and “coaching” and training us to be able to go on this grand adventure.Riding from Witbank to Clarens.

How I could see how he would care for people, me included, just to make sure that everyone gets there safely, the trip runs smoothly, helping people grow, helping people when they struggle, just being such a great help and a leader.

I’m truly grateful for the gift that he is and the role that he plays in my life. And I’m excited for the many more adventures with him on this journey that I have with him and Pastor John, because we are lifers, so praise God.
