What a weekend! Praise the Lord! The special weekend of Jan 16-18 was such an amazing weekend, the session started on Friday afternoon and ended on Sunday night, and the Lord really just blessed me out of my socks with the new songs, the living word that came on that weekend. 

This special weekend took place right after my first week at iXchange, and it started that very Friday.

That Friday was the release of a new album, and wow—it was spectacular. We did hear it the night beforehand, but hearing the new songs again, now officially released, really hit differently. The album is called Morning Thanksgiving, and it is honestly so stunning. It really ministered to me deeply.

Since the album was released, it gave me an opportunity—actually, it led me—to be more intentional about rejoicing in the morning. I’ve been listening to it in the mornings, and it has ministered to me greatly. It has set the tone of thanksgiving and joy in my mornings that sets the tone for the day.

Then we got into the messages, and boy, let me tell you—it was amazing. The messages were absolutely stunning.

The first message was about success. Success, as it was explained, is walking in victory. Pastor John started the message off with a bang, he said: “If God is not pleased, what does it matter?” That shifted my perspective completely.

We are successful because we walk in victory, and we walk in victory because of Him—because of the price that He paid and that is what pleases Him. This applies to every aspect of our lives: relational, financial, spiritual—everything. It is because of Him that we can walk in victory. The answer to your victory is not you; the answer to your victory is God. 

He then spoke about Paul and Timothy, and this really ministered to me deeply. Timothy could not walk his ancient path without Paul. Pastor Christi put it so brilliantly in a message moments: “No Paul, no Timothy.” That really stayed with me.

I am so grateful for how God has led me to Pastor John, how He has led me into this apostolic order, and that I can submit to this apostolic order. Because when I am under order, my life is in order. Then I am on my ancient path. This is just incredible! Being in God’s household, in His family, under His order—this is such a gift. And all of this could not have been done without Pastor John. I am truly, deeply grateful to God for that.

The next point is from the message about control, and what God says about control. Control is an interesting thing because no one really wants other people to be in control over them. But Pastor John explained that the highest level of control is actually the Holy Spirit, who gives us self-control.

Self-control is essentially choosing to be under His control. Ultimately, He is in control, and we exercise self-control by the power of the Holy Spirit to stay under His control. When you respond to self-control, control is not a bad thing—it is a God thing.

God is control, control is God. It is His order. It is His design for how we are meant to function. And honestly, what else would you want to be controlled by? You don’t want to be controlled by the world, by its systems, or by anything else. You want to be controlled by God and that pleases Him. 

Man’s desires create chaos. As soon as you exit God’s control and enter your own control—your own will—saying, “No, I’m in charge,” that is not actually you in control. That is the flesh. And ultimately, that is the enemy controlling you through your mind, will, and emotions—your soul.

When you choose self, you are following the god of this world. Outside of God, there is no real control. Control outside of God is an illusion. The desire for control is a delusion. The enemy steals your desire by implanting his own desire in man, creating the illusion that “I am in control.”

Outside of God, there is no control. Control is found in God, in the order of God’s Zoe life. So why would you want your own control? 

The Ps John also talked about order,

The way of life requires order. There is no other order than the way of God. The order of God exists to reveal Him. Your life requires order because your life is meant to reveal Him. The way of God becomes your way of life, and that way of life reveals Him. That is just stunning to me.

Chaos is released when desire takes control.

Another thing that stood out to me about the apostolic anointing was this: God gave Noah the opportunity to obey Him. God always gives us an opportunity to obey Him so that He can redeem. If there is no obedience, He cannot redeem.

What really encouraged me is that we are in a redeeming time. Father Sharon explained it so beautifully—if there is nothing to redeem, nothing to grow, nothing to accelerate, then God cannot accelerate anything. In my own words: infinity times zero is still zero.

God is our source, but we need to do our part. We need to obey Him and be in a life transaction with Him so that He can multiply. The Father means beginning and source. God is the source of life, and the source of life produces the order of life. That order reveals Him through His ways.

These are just a few of the points that truly ministered to me during this special weekend. There were many more, but I don’t want to make this too long. This weekend genuinely changed my life, and I am truly grateful to God for what He has done and what He is doing.
