In the previous journal entry, I mentioned a bunch of things and points that really ministered to me about the teachings we received during the first and also, second week of the fast. So I really just want to add that in the second week of fasting, it’s really when habits started to settle in. It’s amazing for me to see what changed in my life. What became habits, and as I’m writing this—after the second week of fasting—I can really see how that week pushed me to detox.
I can talk about the food part of the fast and how that affected me but what I really want to focus on is the impact that the fast had on my Social Media habits
Specifically, I want to talk about social media in terms of Instagram, and how I was being more deliberate about putting time aside to be in the messages, to be in the Word, to be in prayer. That made an impact on me because, if you’re constantly filling yourself with death and soulish things, you will have soulish things all the time.
Since I’ve put light in me and sowed seed of life, I can really see the harvest that my habits were producing. I’m truly grateful to God that He actually set me free from social media in the second week of fasting. I don’t want to, ever, go back to consuming social media. I’ve made a quality decision that I don’t want to go back to it. If I have to, I will provide content for the world, to reach the world and spread the gospel, but it’s not there for me to consume.
So yeah, I just praise the Lord for saving me from social media. It’s really just amazing.
